Its no secret that there is a lot of talent creeping out of Canada, and its even less of a secret at how much Teggno loves that canadian sound. This next release is from two(2) producers based in Toronto, Canada, Kotov & Andre Wilde. Kotov & Andre Wilde first came to Teggno with a remix of an Anthony Attalla's 'Sneakerbang' and secondly with a really bada$$ tech house track, 'Lick the Frog' which appeared on the Teggno Album back in April. Both tracks were killer and both were huge successes on Beatport, you should check those out if you don't already have them.
First up on this release is 'Dolls Over Jungle', what a creepy minimal thumper! This track is just dirty, spooky, and just chugs away at your insides. The rubbery bassline and twisted elements just make this track really stand out!
The B side to this EP, 'Smack My Sack', is more tech housey, but still has those minimal tech elements. The use of the rubbery type bassline again makes this track a perfect compliment to the A side of the EP. |
