...The first LIVE show by The Crystal Method in Chicago in over 10 YEARS!
We're not talking a DJ set... We're talking a full-on live productionwith live performance gear, booming concert sound, and mind-bendinglights and visuals.
Those of you that saw that show at House of Blues in 1997 already know what we're talking about here...
What can one say about The Crystal Method?
Well, one can definitely say that they were one of the most influential crossover electronic music acts that help shape and define electronic music culture as it began to take its form here in US in the late '90's... Anyone who's ever heard their album "Vegas" can attest to that.
Well, let's think back to the latter half of 1997... That year, they were touring in support of their album "Vegas", and put on one of the most mind-blowing LIVE shows that people in Chicago had ever seen. The floor at the House of Blues shook hard that night, and people would talk about that performance for years to come...
Soon after, The Crystal Method had put out multiple albums, and released a few DJ mix compilations as well, but had not brought their LIVE show back to Chicago!!

Actually, they were here back in 04.23.04 for a live show with DJ Hyper opening...it was also at the HOB...and probably one of the best shows I have ever been to... so this one should be even more exciting with a brand new album and stage set up. Looking forward to it! |

SICK SHOW!!!!!
"High Roller" did it for me. Keep Hope Alive was also very good but I was just a tad too WASTED to fully enjoy it. Didn't like the version of "Trip like I do" that they did. Overall, I give it an A-
