Is there a way to jump between the beginning and end of the arrangement loop in Ableton? Like in Protools where you use left and right arrow. I've tried to assign shortcutkeys to the beginning and end, but unfortunately thats among the only places where you can't assign any keys. |

I want to ask something too... is there a way to cut something out of a loop in session view ? |

all depends if your pc or mac mac has more shor cut commands.

Try creating a marker maybe... |

I think the simplest way is to automate the volume of that specific clip basically cutting out the volume of the bits you don't want. Saw this on an Airbase tutorial a while ago but i may be wrong... |

Yep, just use the volume envelopes when you have the clip selected in session view :)

Yea but the loop is continously changing you know as I change the selection area. But if you could create markers to stick with the loop start and end points that would be great. I don't think you can do that either. Really sad if there isn't or you can't assign any shortcuts to loop start and end... In my mind that should be one of those very important requested features... |

Don't know of a way to do it with ableton on its own but... What if we rewire ableton to cubase. Create some empty(dummy) clip(s) exactly where your clip(s)are in Live and set up your shortcut(s). Then when you want to use the shortcuts just make cubase active. When you aren't using cubase to trigger the transport in live should function fine on its own while cubase lingers in the background.
This isn't ideal and may not even work but was just thinking lol |

Well thanx for trying to come up with solutions but thats a bit too creative for such a simple task :P Would never bother with doing that. Don't know if it would work either. How does that address the start and end points of the arrangement loop? |

Questions totally unclear to me, so I can't respond.
Can you make a few screenshots LF,Subtle? I can find a workaround with a little luck. |
