Episode 5 is now online!
This episode is my first landmark! Hazzah! I figured, why not celebrate it, even though it’s only episode five, I’m still surprised I made it to this point! It has been quite the ride though, and I intend for it to remain as such. This episode, I’ve decided to do a special; I’ve hit the store and came back with a bunch of good tunes from people that comprise the lineup of this year’s Electric Daisy Carnival (Which is this weekend, and I will be there!). Given that the tracks I picked out are quite varied, this episode starts out in progressive turf, and ends in the fastest BPMs you have seen on this podcast, to date! I’ve got tunes from Groove Armada, James Zabiela, Kaskade, Fedde Le Grand, Dennis Ferrer, Cosmic Gate, Kyau and Albert, Sander van Doorn, Markus Schulz(Dakota is Markus Schulz, by the way), and Yoji.

Platipus is my all-time favorite label: my first CD single was a Platipus single (Art of Trance – Easter Island), and since then I’ve been hoarding every release I can. Art of Trance has also found his way to being one of my favorite producers, kicking out beefy acid riffs, sublime pads, and all sorts of quirky sounds within his productions, from birds to frogs.
This mix is one part acid, two parts epic, and three times choppy. It was indeed the hardest mix I’ve ever tried to make, having so many choices on music, and coming off of a two week break from mixing…But nevertheless I am sure you will enjoy. You’ll find sounds from Art of Trance, Terra Ferma, Oliver Lieb, and AMbassador…Do a little research and you might find some big names hidden behind side-project aliases!
