IMO- they are oldschool, overpriced, and there is just way more out there that is better and more enjoyable to use. I mean, obviously they aren't bad, they have very nice stuff, like the SSL collection, and the L3, but, to me, there are many other tools for cheaper that I think do the job better. Now, I have not tried any of their newest plugs, so I can't say about that. I am kinda interested in that one, Center plugin, for imaging, that looks interesting. |

What is a very powerful, cheap, and easy to use compressor? Would like to stay in the double digits, but if there is some amazing compressor out there do tell. |
This one has been getting rave reviews

BT has said great things about this package. I like it also :) |
I love how on the top of their page it says
| quote: | | "uhbik is not just what it claims to be" |
Not the best choice of words lol. |

Haha, what piece of kit has BT NOT said something good about? He's been endorsed by just about everyone.
Not to take away from what you recommended. I haven't used it, but I'm sure it's good since you like it. It's just funny that you mentioned BT.
I'm looking into getting a UAD card, primarily for the reverbs, as I hear that the RealVerb and DreamVerb are really good. Might something else to look into. |

| Do you guys find there's any point to getting Uhbik with Cubase 5? The in-house effects are DECENT... in some case as many modulation options as with Uhbik... And flipping between Cubase Chorous, Uhbik Flanger/Chorous and Massive Chorous, the former sound similar enough in quality. |

As a long time UAD user, I can tell you that Reverb is just about the only thing that UAD software is NOT good at. The Plate 140 is really good, but RealVerb and DreamVerb are really weak compared to even mid-level Reverb Software FX. The only problem with Plate 140 is that its a major CPU hog, and its uses are fairly limited.
If you are going to invest in UAD, get it for the compressors and EQ's. |

My first choice when it comes to algorithmic reverb. |
