LOL - I've done that 6 am train ride a few times now as well because I live in Stamford too. It's a pretty depressing trip with the landscapers and drunks. |

| i go to grand on a weekly basis...but as hellosam mentioned...going to new york is worth it. Most places play house music or some variation of edm and there are so many places to go. Granted, the drinks cost more, but i just feel like there is a different, and more enjoyable, high when going out to new york. If you guys ever want to do a ta meetup, we can start in stamford and drive to new york....i make that trip every weekend. |

thats a good idea...a couple of us tried in the begining of the year but it kinda fell through. Im sure Imu will be down...where the heck is he lately anyways??? |

That sounds good. I just moved to the area and wouldn't mind meeting some people to take the trip into the city for events. |

| I miss the days of Vibe in hartford....small place but some nights were off the hook..dancin fromidnight to 6am was always a blast. The muni was decent too but has also closed its doors |

I just moved to stamford as well. I only checked out this one place called bungalow, which is kind of hidden on summer st. The place is actually nice, but the music was mashup, and it closed at 1 on thursday.
I work next to the grand, I thought it was a resturante?

Ive been to Bungalow and Grand a few times. Both were ok as far as music but the vibe in Bungalow was terrible. 84 park plays mashups and mainstream EDM on most good nights but for the price, its almost cheaper to go to New York. Connecticut just doesnt seem ready for EDM quite yet. Well at least any EDM that isnt the pop mashups or the most mainstream EDM. When I first moved up here, I talked to some guys at CT entertainment and another promo company in New Haven about getting some events going. New Haven def isnt ready for EDM. The dance floor clears out when anything remotely EDM is on. I think its slowly catching on in this area but for my money, I'd rather go party in the city. |
