Ah, Penfolds. They make some REALLY nice wines. Good call :)
elFreak
considering all you ask for is 20k a year for your services, you would be hard pressed to afford it.

You are a dsigrace Sushi. Fancy being Australian and not knowing all about Penfolds. Are you sure you're not just a kiwi living here and pretending to be one of us?

as you can also see canada has no psychiatric funding:p

time for the UK now :p

We get the NHS free for treatment. As far as seeing a gp & stuff goes, it's reasonable and you usually get seen on the day you need to be, but their treatments are limited in many areas, more & more so. There are some things that ought to be done for people that no longer are, my gran is struggling despite paying contributions all of her life to get her veins sorted out, they don't want to treat them & will leave her in pain. We're looking into how much going private will cost but it's a lot. A lot of the NHS money is wasted on people who don't really deserve it too.

NHS dental has gone down the ter in the last 10 years, many places went private only because the budget was cut & will now only treat children on the nhs, sometimes only if their parents are paying customers at the practice.

Hospitals aren't good compared to how they used to be, understaffed, dirty etc. The class thing is making a ton of difference.

However where I disagree with the american system is if they check insurance before treating things, even emergency ones. There should be a basic level of treatment afforded to everyone, and then the rest can be covered by insurance, especially in times like now when people can't always afford it.

They don't even ask about insurance in the case of an emergency (heart attack, car accident, burns, fireants) until after treatment

I'd seen somewhere of a case of it happening. Either way it's still wrong, there should be a list of basics which get treated, heart attack, stroke, rape trauma, achy breaky penis (most probably from poking yukii)
