| Ill skip this one. While i like high school themed mangas, i can never get into sports themend mangas(School Rumble & Ouran High School host Club FTW (^_^) ). |

Its not that bad of a sports manga, Adachi does them right with an equal balance between sport and story progression, usually with a romantic focus.
Touch is his masterpiece, probably considered one of the best written manga and best adapted animes of all time. |

How does it being Japanese make it creepy? This could have easily been written by a western person and take place in a North American country or European country and had very minor changes to the story.
Manga is just another medium for telling a story. Thats how it is at least for me.
And when is a fascination with a foreign country a creepy thing ever? As long as its not an obsession it is probably more enlightening than anything. Statements like yours reek of ignorance and the closed minded attitude shared by most people in the United States regarding anything outside of this country.
If comics are not your thing then that is fine, but placing the issue solely on them being from a foreign country is, at least to me, borderline racism. That seems really odd when coming from someone in a minority group like yourself Mario. |
