| i just got a pair of geminipt2100s and one is fine but the other speeds up at random points out of nowhere and goes back to normal only to speed up again in a few seconds. anyone kno whats wrong and any fixes? and plz dont say its cuz gemini sux i just wana kno wtf is wrong w/ my table and if there is any fix for it. thanks |

| it might be soemthing wrong with the pitch or it could also be the motor...... r the tables brand new or used? b/c you might be able to get the factory warranty on them if its been less then a year or so |

| I had the same problem when I had the Gemini XL-500. One of the decks was spinning very fast and then slow back down as you said. I took it back and got a new one. Most likely it's a defective motor. Are you able to take it back for an exchange? |

| damn yeah i should of stuck wit technics for a couple hundred more dollars. it sucks cuz 1) i cant return it and get a new one and 2) i cant send it in and get it fixed free w/ the warranty cuz i bought that off ebay. stupid i should of saved a bit more money and gotten technics. owell ill get it fixed later, thanks for the help. |

I don't know why everyone doesn't listen to us when we say, wait and get technics, I know you want something now, but it is better to wait and get good tables. I'm sorry to sound like a dick, but it's the truth, just wait and get technics !!

| i didn't listen to you and i bought vestax pda-1's and i like them wayyyyy more than the technics ive used. better pitch range/control, faster startup (not as good of a brake tho :( ). and i saved like 400 bux |

| sorry, I meant that the wrong way, what I meant was that people don't save for atleast technics, of course vestax pda's are very good, I'm not sayin they aren't, what I'm sayin is people get something less than technics casue they don't want to wait. I'm not puttin down vestax one bit !! :happy2: sorry for the confusion |

I have the Gemini tables and have to sa mines are fine. But they do have pitch bends (THE most useless invention for TT's) on them so be careful something isn't pushing them down. Apart from that your TT's must not be working, and the motor is the prime suspect!
PS - TT's don't make a DJ, any DJ should be able to mix with any Direct Drive decks, Technics do help however ;) |
