1)Send an electronic message or call the US Senator in your state, your Congressperson or other Congresspeople in your state. Keep these messages to your state -- they are more effective that way. Almost all have forms on their websites.

2)Even more effective is printing out a letter, putting it in an envelope with a stamp and sending the letter to the mentioned people. When your letter is received, the representative will be put "on notice" that you are watching and want a public option.

3)Look at Obama's website and make a small donation. They accept amounts starting at 5$.

Act soon the legislation is being written as we speak!

Hey, pkc, have you ever read up on the word cretin before? I'd never quite known the etymology behind it (and still don't!), but it's in fact an amazing word!

quote:
The etymology of cretin is uncertain. Several hypotheses exist. The most common derivation provided in English dictionaries is from the Alpine French dialect pronunciation of the word Chrétien ("(a) Christian"), which was a greeting there. According to the Oxford English Dictionary, the translation of the French term into "human creature" implies that the label "Christian" is a reminder of the humanity of the afflicted, in contrast to brute beasts.[1] Other sources suggest that Christian describes the person's "Christ-like" inability to sin, stemming, in such cases, from an incapacity to distinguish right from wrong.

lololol, Christians/retards.
