Why not?

I'm looking at American Apparel to do these... They seem to have good quality clothing and can do custom work.

The minimum order though would be 600-1200 shirts per style (I assume each color is its own style), and min 200 per size.

Thats a hefty investment.

The thing is that I want these shirts to have designs that wrap or have big swatches of color like anal bead one. It has a two-tone body with the design part on top. Plus the darker tone runs up under the right armpit and then splits and does the same thing on the back side (would look like a tear in the color down the right profile).

Hrmmm...

They limit the printing area though I think. I looked into it a bit last night and it seems like you can only do stuff thats pretty simple.

I might do a few shirts though that I can get on there and maybe use money from that to run some more complex shirts.

I will talk to a friend. She used to work there.

Those are expensive though.

Simply put, those all-over print shirts aren't going to be printed for cheap. So you can stop looking for a cheap way.

Totally agree here.

Also, I was just reading up on dye-sub printers, and it was saying that only light colored shirts that are 50% polyester or more can be used for dye-sub. Is this true?

Yea thats what I was figuring.

Yay... raising capital is fun. I better see if any other designers I know want to get in on this... :p
