Brazil & Argentina Backpacking Trip.. tips? suggestions?

Hello TA in NY!
(it's been awhile.. )
I'm planning to head out to Brasil and Argentina next week for a month and about a week backpacking trip...
I was wondering if anyone's ever been to either?
And if yes, can you share me your story/stories?
And for you snowboarders/skiiers -- have you gone snowboarding in Argentina?
Will I need to bring my own sb-ing pants and gloves? or do they rent that kind of stuff. And what resorts is the best?
And how did you travel within cities in Brazil? By bus? By purchasing the brazilian airpass plane (very expensive). And have you been to the Amazon?
I've gone backpacking in other countries.. but for South America, it will be my first time!
And yes, I speak basic Spanish for Argentina.. and will be looking to see which DJ's may be spinning while I'm there..

| hahaha. yea brasil is dangerous also, 1 month will not be nearly enough time to go backpacking in brasil..it's huge! u will spend most of your time traveling. if i were you i would just focus on argentina. |
