1999 was the first year for that model. Never buy the first year models. A lot of people have problems with them and its not just VW on that fact. |

Its just an A3. It didnt evolve. If it had 320hp with all motor, it would have been a better evolution of the car. Way out classed by other cars like Evo and STI. Those are the cars its trying to compete against and losing badly. |

Well if you aren't running a V8/10/12 or something with lots super/turbo charging and throwing it down through all 4, you're driving whitegoods.
Practical, yes, fast... no. 0-100km/h in 6.something seconds is not fast.

Grossly impractical!
Good on long trips but she's too wide to fit in most normal car parks so it doesn't get used much. I bought HRH a little white 2nd hand MX5 last christmas to practice driving a manual gearbox and its cute... its also about $1500 cheaper than replacing the GTO's 6speed, uh... no because I love her, honest! :nervous: |
