Explains the high return rates for failures under warranty that Golfs seem to experience, maybe Hans was off drinking for the other 11 hours.

Germany has incredible industrial workers beneifits, some of the best in the world.

It is not how much you work but the quality of work you get in the time you do.

That's it? No "how I got arrested and sent to a mental institution in Germany" story this time? :(

1999 was the first year for that model. Never buy the first year models. A lot of people have problems with them and its not just VW on that fact.

Its just an A3. It didnt evolve. If it had 320hp with all motor, it would have been a better evolution of the car. Way out classed by other cars like Evo and STI. Those are the cars its trying to compete against and losing badly.

Well if you aren't running a V8/10/12 or something with lots super/turbo charging and throwing it down through all 4, you're driving whitegoods.
Practical, yes, fast... no. 0-100km/h in 6.something seconds is not fast.

(yes I am a car snob)

Grossly impractical!
Good on long trips but she's too wide to fit in most normal car parks so it doesn't get used much. I bought HRH a little white 2nd hand MX5 last christmas to practice driving a manual gearbox and its cute... its also about $1500 cheaper than replacing the GTO's 6speed, uh... no because I love her, honest! :nervous:
