Embrace is pleased to announce HEIDI at The Social, Thursday, July 2 2009.
Renowned BBC 1 radio host and club DJ, Heidi, grew up in Windsor Ontario, Canada. Coming form a family of music lovers, the house was always filled with a variety of classic rock, blues and folk throughout her childhood.
Originally an indie kid, she started traveling to gigs in Detroit as soon as she could. The music scenes of the Motor City and Chicago left a deep impression on Heidi and her record collection. Influence by her electronic producing friends in Windsor, she developed a love for techno and house music.
Moving to England for a year in 1997, her eyes were opened even wider to the joys of underground dance music. She moved to London permanently in 2000 to immerse herself in the music scene, clubbing every weekend and hanging out in record shops.
In 2004, through her rigorous networking, she met Partick Bodmer and Philip Jung otherwise known as the German electronic duo M.A.N.D.Y. They became great friends and it soon leads to gigs together in Berlin where it really started to take off for her.
In 2005, Heidi started playing all over Europe and Russia with regular visits to Italy, Spain, France and Germany. She plays regularly in Berlin at the Panorama Bar and Watergate Club as well as The Monza Club in Frankfurt, and she also holds a residency in Ibiza. She also became a regular at Fabric, London’s leading underground dance club.
In the last two years she has been playing all over the world and in a different country every weekend. She rocked in Miami at the WMC and then spending 5 years on the Get Physical European tour which saw her playing alongside Bookashade, M.A.N.D.Y., DJ. T and the rest of the gang,

faaaaaaaaaack, would love to catch Heidi but I don't know if it's going to be possible with school.
Every time I've seen her she's consistently rocked the joint. |

the social is an intimate venue, maybe a couple hundred people and has more of a *house party* vibe rather than being out at a club.
