if you are truly confident in this statement, then maybe I will not have to change my plans LOL. I really really wanna stick with my original plans, but I keep getting the "omg you are going to mexico???" statement everytime I mention it to someone..... |
absolutely. i wouldn't say that if you were going to Mexico city, tijuana, or juarez; but, if you're going to Cancun, Cabo, or Puerto Vallarta, i would stake my law license on that statement. |

yeah, ive heard only good things about Cabo- my aunt went there last winter and loved it, the only thing she noted that she didnt like was that on the beaches it was a bit too crowded....not sure where she was exactly though |

my parents were actually in puerto vallarta during that first week when the outbreak started back in april, they said that it wassent as bad as what you see on tv where it was in mexico city
the only people you saw wearing masks and gloves were basically people who were handleing food (waiters, chefs, deli workers etc)
and in the airport they test you before you get on the plane to come back to the states when your leaving
other then that my mom said it was a regular vactaion and enjoyed it |

I wouldn't worry about it...
There were a million warnings against going this past March and I went anyways... I went to the normal vacation areas of Playa Del Carmen & Cancun. I saw no problems whatsoever.
The American government wants to use these tactics to scare people into staying home so you'll spend money here rather than abroad (giving $ to their economies).
If you wanted to go to Mexico, go ahead and go. Just don't give into American propaganda or the idiots that believe it. |

.....and last week (6/1 - 6/7) in NYC there were 8 reported murders, 25 reported rapes, 328 reported robberies, 328 reported felony assaults, 317 reported burglaries, 707 reported grand larcenies, and a total of 1,922 reported crimes. YTD, there have been over 21,000 reported robberies, felony assaults, or burglaries in NYC.
Listen, i didn't say those places were the safest in the world, all i said is that i felt as safe in the tourist areas of mexico as i do almost anywhere in the city.

I lived in the Caribbean for three years. If you are looking for something quiet, go to St. Thomas or St. Barths. If you are looking for crystal clear water but more american/canadian crowd (many europeans though too!) Cancun. Also a lot of nightlife there and you have the chichen itza and tulum ruins if you want to explore Latin American history.
For traditional Mexican and beauty, Puerto Vallarta. For party party, go to Puerto Rico or the Dominican Republic (there are some parties on the beach, in the DR, both in NOrth shore or Punta Cana, amazing!)
Have fun! |

DR is awesome, my ex was from there so we took a trip together. Nice beaches, plus its effin cheap. Aruba is great too.
But forget Caribbean go to dubai, i can write a book on their nightlife, awesomeness, beaches, architecture, been there 4 times, can never get over that city haha :D |
Oh what a fantastic city and country to visit. I assume you are not aware that Dubai has been bought almost entirely by slave labour? I also question just how good the nightlife can actually be when alcohol is restricted, public affection and holding hands between a man and woman is banned. |
