Your justifying an old lady being tasered by a trained personnel because the cop used "reason" to convince her to comply? If threat of electrical shock is "reason" to you then your reason is of amazon jungle not the "reason" that has been brought forth by the great minds of the last 2000 years. If you tell your child not to put their hand on the stove, repeat it 5 times and they do it anyways you would use your full force and kick them in stomach? Human nature is flawed, and the point is to learn some self control, self discipline, and live with a strong sense of ethics. Not the "reason" of the jungle.
He could have told her that there were serious implications if she did not comply and threatened her with a more reasonable approach such as being handcuffed arrested and charged with further offenses. As countless people have said, if he could not take care of that old lady then hes the definition of a fat,lazy,donut eating, power tripping piglet. Do you people have no sense of Morality what so ever? I guarantee you if that was your Grandma being treated with such disrespect you would have a totally different opinion on this. Shes 72, senile, you blame her for being a little crazy?

She brought it on herself. If she would have just co-operated with the officer and signed the stupid speeding ticket then there wouldn't have been a problem.
Although it may have been excessive she was warned several times that her failure to co-operate would result in her being tasered.
I wouldn't want to be a cop...especially in the states...even some 72 year old grandmas carry guns. |

I have all kinds of ing morality, you pile of . She was told 5 TIMES. FIVE. FIVE TIMES. She did not comply. She then got what was coming to her. I don't give a if she's 72 years old. She definitely had her wits about her in the interview, thus she knew what was going on. She ed up. End of story.
Maybe you should quit living in a goddamn fantasy world where people don't do bad things and like this doesn't happen. I think it's you that should grow the up. |

take it to the extreme. if he told her 10 times that he'd shoot her if she didn't comply, does that justify shooting her when she doesn't? NO. so it's not that he told her 5 times that he'd taser her that makes it ok or not, so get off that point as justification.
what he said is not what justifies subsequent action. THE SITUATION is what dictates justifiable action.
there is no way in this cop could not have just cuffed her with a *wee* bit of force. oh, grandma might have struggled and perhaps even got in a slap or two before he was successful...but if this pathetic piece of is incapable of cuffing a surly old lady putting up a fuss over a traffic ticket, then perhaps he's in the wrong line of work.

Do you just choose not to see the part about this that outrages people? It's not about the fact that she was told 5 times... it's that the taser was used to coax someone into compliance rather than defusing a potentially deadly situation.
I would say that anyone who believes that human beings are little more than cattle to be shocked into submission for disobeying orders... are the ones that should be removed from the gene pool. |

| I don't care how old the stupid bitch is....if she just signed the ticket there would have been no issue. I hope they decide to charge her with assault. It honestly looked like she thought she shouldn't get a ticket because she is an old lady. She broke several laws and she should have to pay for each one of those laws she broke. |
