Hey guys,

Just came across this new book by Simon Cann on Amazon.com and thought I'd mention it here in case anybody is looking for a good resource on synthesis/sound design. Simon Cann is the author of "How to Make a Noise" and "Cakewalk Synths: From Presets to Power User." This new book looks like it's a more generalized version of the latter and seems to focus heavily on modular synths (including software modulars [e.g., Zebra]). Check it out:

Neat.

What are some "must reads" for somebody who hasn't sat down and read any of these styles of books.

How to Make a Noise is a good place to start. You can download the free version or buy the book for like $13.

Power Tools for Synthesizer Programming: The Ultimate Reference for Sound Design is another good reference and is also cheap (~$17).
