Pfft. Vinyl rules. Only reason to use anything else is practicality.

There are still tons of house, techno, even indie rock labels that put out nothing BUT vinyl and refuse to release digitally :) |
yes
i will not say that there is more vinyl than mp3/wav being released, but i will say there is some quality to be found on some vinyl only labels that you know some ableton kiddie (with no money for software, tracks, or pretty much anything else) won't be able to touch. |

If I could, I'd still buy and spin vinyl. Sadly I can't find most of the music I now buy easily on it, plus I am so used to spending less than £1.50 on a track rather than £8 nowadays. I was never a massive fan of CDJs, they felt like a poor version of 1210s, but I think once I'm into a full digital set up like Traktor Pro and the increased possibilities my love for mixing will be back 110%.
I very occasionally still buy a special tune or album on vinyl, just for the collection. I want WAV downloads to become the norm though really. |

| all vinyl. If I can't afford it I'll wait till I can. Amazing how many crap records you can avoid buying with this method. |
