| in theory, it's good that they're finally playing trance. however, what pisses me off that all these ignorant kids won't give trance the respect it deserves...they'll listen to it a few times (non-vocal trance) and than discard it as boring. or even worse, they'll start thinking that they know everything about trance... retards:mad: |

If more people like trance, then there will be more trance nights at clubs, more trance CD's in record shops, more trance on the radio, and more people to talk about music with!
And more chicks wouldn't hurt either. :D |

There are two sides to this.
One, the people who always complain that hiphop and pop-trance get all the radio play, and no one appreciates "real" trance.
Two, the people who want trance to stay "underground" and would hate to see their 13 year old sister liking a trance song. These people are supposed to "hate" anything that gets radio play, cuz its cool to do that.
Then there are those confused hypocrites, who are a mix of the two...
Oh yeah, and then there are those who are too elite for this issue, because all this stuff is "cheese" to them anyways, and they like a superior genre of trance that is untouchable to us lesser educated. :P |

like about a month go they were playing Minimalistix - close cover"on Z 103 pump it or dump it!!!I can say almost 90% of people who calles said dump it!!!I was pissed because of the fact that that song is the most beautiful song ever!!but in the other hand I was happy that people didnt like it!!haha:D :D |

I heard that track today too. I couldn't believe it. 103.5 always plays trance though....may not always be good trance but they're always the first commercialized station to play a trance track. I don't know about everyone else, but if 103.5 starts playing good trance regularly, I'm going to be kind of mad cuz then those tracks will become mainstream and overplayed. Plus, the way I see it, that station is a "gino" station that plays more dance and euro and I really don't want any trance that I listen to thrown in the mix. That is just my opinion. I don't want to be mean but, if anyone objects to my "gino" statement, please save it cuz posts about ginos has been done way too many times. :gsmile: |

First of all, I do business with z103.5
Here's my take: at first I thought they shouldn't play trance because it will make the scene worse. But then I realized I don't even like the scene
Secondly, the more trance they play, that means the more trance I get to play at clubs.
So I'm happy either way :) |

And make them commercial, no offence, but I prefer trance to be an underground type of music. |

so.. why is it ok for everyone around here to dump on hip-hop, but everyone gets worked up when someone doesn't like "real" trance? to each is own, that what i sez. everyone is entitled to an opinion, and just cause a few people don't take well to trance, doesn't mean we should rob other people of the opportunity to get a listen...
and so what? AVB is NEW to some people, big deal.... they heard it for the first time, and they don't read the TA boards, so they assume its NEW. so why is everyone laffing at them? i only got into trance like a year ago, and back then, 1998, out of the blue, and wonder where you are were "new" to me too. big deal... give people a chance.

All Iam saying is that the way things are going now, seems like trance wont stay underground for long!!!and i dont want that, and yes everyone could listen to trance, who am I to say who can listen to what kind of music??
I just dont want trance to be like pop music and hear it on kiss 92.5!!:whip:
but then again I cant do anything about this, all I can do is sit and hope that wont happen.:) :) |
