Each month, Jacob will be highlighting the latest releases from Silk Royal and its affiliates, as well as music from other leading labels around the globe. Sean Marx hails from Dublin, Ireland and for the past few years has slowly but surely been carving his own path into the electronic music scene.
What started out as a minor interest quickly developed into a new avenue opening up which Sean sought to explore, and potentially conquer.
The launch of the internet was a catalyst for Sean, as it allowed him to explore many artists, sounds and styles outside of Ireland's insular music scene. Drawing an initial fascination, and then inspiration from many different artists and producers across the world, he began to construct tracks which would pave the way for a journey to and from many aspects of the electronic sound.
Dabbling in many of these aspects, such as trance, drum n bass and more recently progressive house, Sean remains unfazed by the decaying commercial club scene in his home city and is determined not to break the boundaries of electronic music in Ireland, but to create new ones.
Consistently hitting high in the charts while also receiving support from some of the best-known names in dance music such as Armin Van Buuren, Markus Schulz and Above & Beyond, it seems only a matter of time before Sean Marx is a household name in the electronic music world. |
