Try the search option.. type in "singer" and/or "songwriter". I haven't exactly looked for a vocalist before but if you hear a vocal you like just contact the artist and find out who did the vocals and go from there.. you never know! :)

I've never worked with a vocalist yet so this may be a dumb question. If i find someone on say myspace that i won't to work with are they able to record their own vocals or do i need to provide a studio and time for them to record?. just wondering how that usually works.

That totally depends on each singer's situation, so there's no one answer. Some singers (pro/semi-pro) may expect you to pay them for their time and they'll handle the recording, others may expect you to cover their study time as well. Hobbyists or people trying to break into the music biz or EDM genre will probably be willing to do it for free, but they may or may not have access to recording gear or a studio, in which case you'll need to figure out who is going to pay for studio time. Or try to have the singer figure out how to record him/her self. Ideally, you can find someone who can sing and has the resources and knowledge to record themselves.
