The other day getting onto the metropolitaine from Av St-Croix I was heading to Ville Mt Royal, there was a 80 cm deep whole; it was about 15cm wide .. This is disgusting, why can't we be allowed good roads ? I just hate it ...

this is due to quebec's government policy of going for the cheapest bid, rather than the best price/quality bid, labour laws not allowing to work on weekends and nights and bidding contracts secured by mafia that will cheap out on materials.

ontario has similar harsh climate, why do they have better roads? because they're anglophone? lol

bal en blanc is in charge.

jesse whats your point?

its a closed road, they are working on it, why post a pic.

People think its an open road with such holes.

dutty.persian: there is road work at night and in the weekend, geez, you never go out in the weekends?

honestly though the quebec government has invested a lot of dough (= jobs). On the south shore i saw 3 different overpasses that were torn down to be rebuilt again. This is a good thing, because the infrastructure is getting old and a repeat of the incident in laval is not good.

Its been a closed road for a while. I didn't expect it to take that long to fix.

Plus this made me laugh, there is a ton of people that still don't know its closed. Minutes after I took the picture some person nearly drove into the cones blocking access to the ramp :haha:

thats because they work underneath it, so its normal not to see people over.

if this was in Dubai, they would have been done in a weekend. Seriously why is it taking so long?
