35 here and was a huge Happy Hardcore fan.
Don't listen it a lot, but still like it.
HH was huge and great, no-one can deny that.
Think German Rave is more or less the same.
Many older artists have made HH or something close to it in the 90's. Awesome tracks have been made.
I was a huge Scooter fan back then.
Anyone not liking Happy Hardcore for sure never heard this in a club, a ing masterpiece back then:
I'm into dozens of genres, I can hardly name any that I dislike. I'm very much into hardcore, both old gabber and modern hardcore as well as subgenres like darkcore, breakcore and industrial.

very unsuccesfull, as can be expected from that government..
I bet many don't remember that many Happy Hardcore tracks also appeared at Trance compilations and goes back to around 1994, same time Trance began to become big. Some tracks were closer to trance while others were much more leaning towards hardcore or gabber.
Personally I like the ones at trance side like this one, with that AMAZINGS 303 in it @2:16 Uplifting or what?
Hardcore always had next to something aggresive also something funny in it.
This track hit number 1 in the Dutch charts in 1992:
Example of a track which can be found in multiple genres of that time:
Cryogen
I like quite a few genres of Hardcore. Trancecore, FINRG and Freeform are all good. Happy Hardcore with pianos and "take me higher with your love" vocals are bit FAIL for me though.

well i'm old enough to remenber this....[IMG][/IMG]

That 303 is great, but it would sound a lot better without the stupid square kick drums and retarded MC over the top, i.e:
50 second mark. The bit at 2:03 fulfils your requirement for something 'funny' next to something aggressive.

tbh i think it's cool that people over 30 like HHC
palm
Dune live at Rastatt 1996!!!!
Marusha - Raveland (F Jones Remix), Deep

Yes and no. I still prefer the energy of Dyewitness and I even like the MC-ing. Retarded and over the top was like a trademark for HHC. (Party Animals?)

Oh , I still think these absolutely are awesome:
Bounce #9 - Deeper Love (Awesome speed and synthy, cool vocals, expect the German talking perhaps, o and 303 :) )
Party Animals - Used & Abused (uplifting, fast and those chord changes :) what a beast)
This track was at Trance Nation 9 (1996), yes a hard one indeed. Who knows what house classic used a similar sample like the one @18 seconds? All people over 30 should know IMO :) :)
Etienne Picard - Get up!
