Hi all, got a problem with my decks, wondered if anyone could help. 1210's mark 2 - the small earthing wire has been cut so I need to replace it, however having taken the deck apart I have found I can't quickly replace it as it has been souldered. would anyone know the best way to go about replacing this wire? also where I could buy a new wire from? any advice would be greatly appreciated! thanks

if you don't know how to solder, i suggest finding someone that can, as for the wire, take the old one with you and find one of a similar guage and you're good to go, any electronics store should be able to help you out

Go find some diy videos on soldering and I promise you you'll be able to solder it yourself. There's also a mod you can do so you can completely eliminate the ground wire. Let me find it,

Not super clear on what to do, but you'll get it.

If you decide to keep the ground cable then find a good conductive wire to use.

if you don't know what you are doing ( i don't either) take your gear in.

paying a little for repairs is way better than having to buy a new one because you wanted to save a few bucks.

electronic shop will charge you like 50 bucks, if you can i would recommend soldering it yourself.
