looking for several different tools/FX

1) I need a good sounding unisono FX plugin that can emulate several voices of an input signal and detune them against each other. A chorus isnt what I want, and the unisono plugins I've found so far sound crap.

2) Also I want a tool that can generate samples for you. ie you give it a synth and a preset, and it plays all notes from c1 to b5 (for example), and saves each of the notes played to a wav sample. I remember there was a tool like this somewhere but I cant seem to find it anymore.

3) I need a phaser plugin that can produce a subtle high end phasing effect. at best one that has as few as 1 or 2 stages. I dont want the feedbackish phasers that produce a tone on their own.

4) is there a very simple "DJ mixer" style EQ? 3 knobs for low/mid/high boosting or cutting should do the trick.

This might be what you're looking for as far as the multi-sampling goes: http://namm.harmony-central.com/WNA...ampleRobot.html
Waza
if you had any daw system like ableton or cubase then you could get the eq you want and the phaser.

For the sampling, a great vst is DiscoDsp's Highlife. I don't remember if it samples all notes, but it works great, you actually load your vst in it, press one button and its sampled and u get rid of ur vst.

... and it's free and open source ;) http://www.discodsp.com/highlife/

Dude Lars :D

The Love Filter can do the 3 lane EQ. Switch to SVF Filter and open the cutoff so it doesn't effect anything. And on the side you have sliders for low mid and high.

Thanks for tips everyone! Highlife looks good, but it is very bugged for me. Might be vista, might be FL... :(

I'm still looking for the unisono plugin. I've been searching my ass off for this but had no luck so far.

I rate D16 Fazortan for your subtle phasering needs. Sounds great on pads, got a lush shimmer to it.

Not quite a unison but then again not quite sure what it does :) but for thick/widening stuff I'm trailing this beaut => Stillwell/Schwa CMX and I reckon it's pretty special

Thanks a lot man! Fazortan sounds great, exactly what I need... CMX looks really nice too... :D

isn't chorus and unison basically the same thing?

i mean, they both stack and detune.

Unison is usualy a whole lot more voices than a chorus. The chorus I use, which does the job, is the FL chorus, and it has 3 oscillators. Unison however, copies the sound many times [ive seen up to 32 voices] with very slight detune on each. The amount of detune depends on the spread. And in Synth1 there is a pitch knob, which determines the focus of the spread, [high end of low end] while keeping the basic sound at the same octave. [as apposed to pitch bending the whole sound]

Flanger and phaser do the same thing, only one does alot more [phaser] than the other [flanger]. In this case chorus does a little, while unison does a lot.
