| I'm planning to get one since constant electricity voltage breaks are about to ruin my PC. But are they really that effective to save PCs? I know there're 3 types of them, but do they really stabilize the electricity output? |

| u have RS232 on your comp? i think theirs UPS´s avaliable that can connect to your computer via serialport modbus and give the command of safe secure shutdown so it wont be broke. they power usualy only last like 30mins so its wise to shut down the comp. i dont know for sure though, these ones i talk about might cost like alot, meant for server-parks. |

| I'm looking for 2 things: save my PC from sudden voltage jumps and enough time to finish my job if the light turns off. |

contact your electrician and ask for a dedicated line straight from your breakerbox to the outlet of your computer (better quality) and a conditioner to filter out unwanted noise. If you want a steady line use a voltage regulator. |
