So, who of you out there have graduated this year into the worse job market in the last quarter century, and what are you doing about it? Personally, i am not looking for any jobs right know. Going to keep my serving job, pass the CPA exam, maybe take an internship, and hopefully in a year things will open up.
I know some of you will have to get a little more creative than that, but how are you coping with a gloomy year? I read an article I think in the WSJ that explained that graduates in a economic downturn received lower wages and salaries throughout their careers than graduates in a good year. |

| The worse job market in the last 25 years has no room for someone of your grammatical pedigree. |

| I am, and I'm not holding out much hope. In fact, I'm considering taking a ty job for a year or two and getting my career started when things pick up. |

Me too, I'm doing some boring work, pays reasonably well, and I can listen to my own music when I'm not half asleep.
Actually, if you look hard enough, there are still enough opportunities (taken that you're reasonably eduacated and have some relevant work experience). At least, that's the case in Holland.. |

This theory is mainly based on figures from the 80s. It's called "the vintage effect". To be precise, the GDP growth rates during the 5 years after you graduate are the most impacting.
