ya in the summer they come....and 4 big names in 3 months isnt that much....and even at that, theres never any trance ANYWHERE unless its a big name that comes...all this mc mario rap hip hop bull has to stop tho,for real! there should be AT LEAST some trance in clubs, and there should also be other trance djs playing, not only the same fkn names over and over again, always the same ppl opening/closing...

Hey... I TOTALLY agree with you 1000%! You can't be out after work and then say let's go to this cool club on any Friday or Saturday... and go at 23h00 and hear consistent Trance *guaranteed*. If anyone knows of such a place please tell me.

Damn, there are freaking JAZZ clubs, LATIN clubs, Alternative clubs, 80s music clubs, and everybody is following one another with Hip/Hip | House. Like there is some CLUB UNIVERSITY that teaches this formula.

You would think that by now someone would say... hmm... wouldn't it be great to do something different? Have a niche? Specialize. Jeez... like those words apply to every other form of business but clubs.

And Montreal is the most European city in North America... with lots of people from Europe... where Trance is very popular. You'd think someone would have clued in on this already.

You will get some Trance in Club 1234 and Light UltraClub, and a bit in La Boom I think. Some years ago Club Living (I really adored this place) used to have some Trance as well. Haven't been in while so I don't know if they do still. Redlite is far... I am talking downtown.

Whatever is available - bottom line - is NOT ENOUGH! The occasional Trance DJ or event does not make up for the lack of a Trance & Dance Club with wooden floors, HIGH ceilings, fresh cool ventilation, no smoking, cushioned seats, sexy women... ahh... I can see it now... (dreaming)...

100% man! like i can never go somewhere reg club hours and hear good music! (trance of course) its always that gay commercial house bob sinclar axwell that honestly sounds like even when im wasted! so something really has to be done about this! clubs should really start hiring trance djs cause this same in clubs is just not happening!
djneek
im a trance dj and i know when i hear good music, like when i go see sander or rank1 or just any good name thats when ppl have a good time...especially whenever theres an actual trance night, its usualy always jammed...so you can pure pull it off having it in clubs over here, without a doubt!

anyways...trance was trendy few years back

now those dj's spin prog house..

forget about trance unless u go 2 straight circus events or bal en blanc or some

the occasional red lite

the reason there isn't any trance club operating at normal hours is because there simply isn't enough demand....not too hard to figure out.

in addition, i believe that there is already too much trance happening in montreal, lol.

exactly what I was thinking. The last few months coming to these forums I been noticing a surge in trance events. Trance during club hours every week is not going to happen though. Take what you get :gsmile:

I think that as long we will see Circus packed in every tranceformers events, as long we will have trance event.

I know a bunch of people would like to hear trance in Club... but the question should be... does a club can live of Trance in Montreal with a friday and saturday night? I'm not sure for 2009 and 2010!

The idea of making only one trance event by month is nice! You keep trance fans alive and grow the community by himself

We all know that House - Hip Hop - Pop - Top 40 bring people and money in clubs!!

I hope that everyone on this thread bought their ticket to see Richard Durand @ Opera

If this one goes well, you'll have more trance events in clubs

So make sure to bring all your friends and SUPPORT

This guy is obviously misinformed about the EDM events taking place in the city, as I was at one point (remember that thread I created? - ended up eating my words).

So give this guy a ing break, and kindly link him to some events that are coming up if you want to prove a point that there is no shortage of trance.
