Anyone use this? The literature on it seems contradictory at times. Can anyone confirm that this has 2 audio ins and what connctor type? Some websites say TRS, some say phono, neither is a problem, just want to know. I'm looking to upgrade from my Audiophile 2496 as I need 2 audio in's (adding another outboard synth), the 2496 only has one, which my Virus is using:D |

The Audiophile has:
2x input (or 1x stereo)
2x Line out (or 1x stereo)
2x monitor out ((or 1x stereo))
Midi in/out
I have it myself, been using it for a couple of years now. But going to get a upgrade next month. Audiophile is pretty decent, although I think the drivers suck. |

, just noticed x1 stereo. I need 2 stereo in's. I'm running the Virus as stereo in, as it sounds fine set up this way I want to run the Nord as stereo in too. Unless mono is ok for both?? will it make a difference? Bear with me I'm new to hardware. |

^^ you could get a mixer and just use 1 stereo in on the sound card |

Yeah, I'd recommend getting a mixer also. |

Got a mixer, Behringer Xeynx 1002, it didn't like it when I tried this with the Virus. I put Virus into ch 3, audio out of mixer to soundcard audio in, then soundcard audio out through the mixer and to the monitors. When I raised the master volume of the Virus I got a horrendous noise, even with no midi triggering an audio response from the Virus.
Bear in mind I was running the monitors via TRS from the 'master out' of the mixer. When I ran the Virus through the mixer I used the 'master out' for the audio from the mixer to the soundcard, and switched the monitors to run off the 'Booth monitor'.
Hope that makes sense, any obvious decisions by me in there? |

I'm pretty sure you got a feedback loop. Why not connect your soundcard output directly to your monitors? Everything should work fine then. |

Considered that at the time but wasn't sure, will do tonight when I get to play with the Nord and the Virus together. You're a star mate:D |
