Denver.....question about living there

Not sure if I'll get much of a response, I know this section of the board is mainly CA, but any info would be appreciated since it's also the Colorado board.
I got a call from a friend in my company about a position he recommended me for that is located in Denver. It's a huge opportunity for me, but I'm not 100% familiar with the Denver itself. I use to work for Vail during college breaks, family use to own a ranch in Colorado Springs, so I'm familiar with other parts of the state, just not Denver. My office would be downtown, but will travel all over the Rocky's for my territory.
Does anyone have any insight on where to live? I generally am one that likes to live where there are a lot of things to do, nightlife and daylife. Any input on where to start looking if this job comes through?
And yea, I know, another Texan coming to Colorado.....:toothless |

It really all comes down to financing. What price house or how much you want to pay rent for. The cities in the Denver area vary drastically even at this economic time. Cherry Creek/Park Meadows and Boulder would be at the top, Westminster area and some parts of downtown Denver would be middle, and then other downtown parts in Denver are pretty bad at night.
I recommend checking out prices online for the locations i shortly listed and then based off of that, you can ask again here or a real estate agent in CO for something similar to the price range and that has what you are looking for near it.
Hope this helps somewhat. |

I've already looked a little. Budget would probably be $1200-1400 max, will rent b/c of the likelihood I could get relocated again in about a year.
I'm pretty open, kinda would like just a loft for the first 12 months, if it goes longer than that, I'll start looking for a house to buy. |

| Definitely look for a place in the downtown area. If you're looking for a nice studio apartment, I would check out this http://www.redpeak.com/ The 1600 Glenarm Place apartments. They're located in the heart of downtown Denver. |
