I'm looking into a Remote SL (2 octaves) I presently have a Remote 25. Is it realy worth the extra cash for auto mapping? I use Live8.
Or should I just bite the bullet, and get an APC40? |

I don't know what I would do without automap.
I would highly recommend the 37 SL - It is perfect as far as octaves go with a ton of functionality.
www.novamusik.com
that place has the cheapest prices on novation gear you'll find.
I personally use the 49sl compact. i never, ever need to use 4 octaves at once but thats because i do all of my sequencing with mouse and quantization etc. the audio recordings i do are pre-planned or I am just playing around looking for melodies within the octave and possible up or down one (Making the 37 perfect)
Highly, highly recommend the SL 37 |

Ya! Thanks for the recommend, I use an X-Station 49 if I need the keys, but the layout of the buttons and sliders just don't feel right for me. |

You have just gone to the other end of the spectrum with regards to what type of controller you actually want.
Think about your needs before you make a purchase. |

Well I found a Remote SL for a good price on eBay. The APC40 is not available here in Canada, they are all sold out. It gets a little tiresome programming the Remote25, so the automapping will be nice.
Thanks for the replies... |
