They all get edited to fit on the CD... 12 tunes, and all producers are asked to do a ~6min edit of their tune
The only one that couldn't agree to the 6mins is probably Radio Slave (go figure :p), clocking in @ 8mins40 :)
The full versions will probably only see the light of day on vinyl or maybe never |

| Cheers Glannie, that sucks - but then, who wants to play 12 minute long tunes all night anyway ? :) |

It's like Cocoon brings out the worst in producers |

It's not as bad as most of you make out. It's definitely not outstanding but there's some nice tunes to be found. I liked these:

I agree, the Timo Maas track is abysmal. I couldn't stand listening to more than 5 seconds of it. :wtf: |

| I dunno...I like a lot of the artists on this one so I might give it a spinny spin spin |

but in regards to Cocoon...its a shame in my opinion that Sven, who is considered a god in the scene by most techno heads has a label that releases so many bad records.
It really comes down to bad taste on Sven's part, unless there is someone else on his label deciding which tracks to sign |

Cocoon has pretty much become a label that publishes the kind of tracks Sven will play out to crowds of 10 or 20 thousand people. This is all big room stuff, meant to move a lot of people at once. Basically I think that he decides what gets published, and it's usually the kind of stuff he'll put in his sets. |
