doesn't mean you purchase tracks for the sake of a new purchase.

Again, wrong approach. Search for the best, buy the best, play the best, support the best.

Producers and DJ's are , because of this very mentality. They play/produce stuff cause it's new, not because it necessarily sounds good or is creatively fresh.

The more you support or 'just ok' tracks, the more people will make.

So you are just perpetuating the very thing you are mad about.

Exactly. begets . Thus validating my point. Someone give me a cookie.

eh? you calling Arabs deaf??:whip: :whip: :whip:

and tracks make it into the top ten because of purchases such as yours where people just want to add to the number of tracks they have and end up buying the most generic stuff cos it would be easier to mix together.

PS. I dunno how you went through the breaks section and found nothing. I found some pure gems in today's dump itself. Some more in the Electronica section as well

How do you not know this ? I'm not even a DJ and I know how/where to find good tunes. You're seriously asking other people to do the work for you? You fail.

if you've ID'd one DJ in particular...you can try tracking them down personally, contact their booking agent or try going through the label(s) that have released stuff in the past. I know someone that contacted some little label in Europe for a particular mix and the DJ responded, was happy to be contacted, and just sent them the track, lol. nice!

beatport is convenient, but my god is there a lot of on there, lol.

I'll scroll through the top 100 breaks tracks once in a while. I'd say that 90% is crap (or perhaps just not my taste) and not even worth listening to...never mind purchasing. but there will be some great stuff buried in there. but for finding specific tracks/mixes...beatport constantly disappoints me.
