Union Jack - Funnelweb [Platipus]

While Papillon had/has the good ol' Platipus feel, Funnelweb sounds nothing like the Union Jack we're used to except for a few ideas perhaps borrowed from the 2006 mixes of Two Full Moons and a Trout...
Sounds decent nevertheless even if not quite as good as Papillon. Maybe this is their response on the current soundscapes in the EDM scene. Need to hear the full thing to make a better judgment. |

I didn't say it's a problem. I just don't hear anything that special with either mix of Funnelweb which makes them easily get lost in the grey masses of EDM today. |

| I actually (though I am a self-proclaimed Platipus fanboy) really liked them both and look forward to their release! They weren't the same old Union Jack tracks, but they definitely had a feel of actual good trance, not the same old everyone else is making these days. |

| Also, I am loathe to purchase all these singles when they will most likely come out on CD in the end. Does anyone know if a Union Jack physical release has been confirmed? |

| I doubt that they will release CD singles again. But they did talk about an Union Jack album. |

New Union Jack album is slated for a September 2009 release last I heard.
I hope it comes out on Vinyl! Though that's extremely unlikely lol |

The original sounds pretty funky to me. Hard to judge by this sample. But it sure got potential!
The remix is too minimal sounding (even though it says maximal lol) for my ears. |
