The boat was amazing, too bad they didn't let me in docks.

oh my god... i have been trying to gather my thoughts on the day ever since i left the docks. the best boat cruise i have ever been on by far (and i'm including the armin one). i haven't partied like that in years. it was my 10th time seeing them so i have a pretty good idea what to expect and they blew me away again.
so we got there fairly early around 11:30 to see that the boat was just getting there and the parking lot was fairly empty. despite the organizers telling everyone that we would leave at 12:30 sharp it didn't happen. it's to be expected with boat cruises. we left the dock around 1:15 give or take (i think). c&c were spinning before people even got on the boat which was amazing. they started off nice and slow as they usually do and slowly built it up. i was expecting them to play their newer style (which i like, just not my prefered taste) but they didn't. TONS of tribal classics. Drums, drums, and more drums. i couldn't have asked for better music on a boat. i had chills so many times throughout the day. They did go a little techy for about 45 minutes or so but it went right back to tribal. i spent the ENTIRE day on the top deck. went down 2 or 3 times to go the washroom and get booze but that's it. i don't even know what time we got back. I'm guessing it was around 4:30 - 5.
when we got back we were greeted by addy waving at everyone from the solarium to get us to go in. i would say that 3/4 of the people on the boat got right off and went right into the dock's. addy started it off nicely (similar to his set when he opened up for ceballos a few months back at mod). c&c came on and started right where they left off on the boat. the crowd was loving it. as it started to get a little darker they just got harder and harder. that relentless slammin' tribal sound that i love so much. we stayed right til the very end (even through those weird hip hop songs they played). by then i just think everyone was beat and nobody cared. lol.
overall... an absolutely amazing day. not only did i get to see my all time favourite dj's spin on a boat, but it was with a massive group of friends. there were about 50 friends of ours that we knew who had tickets but then we ran into about 10 more that we hadn't thought of. we dominated that boat. normally i get annoyed when there are that many people that we know there because i can't enjoy the music as much but everyone was just lovin' it. i'm so tempted to say that it was the best party i've ever been to but i want to give it a week or so to really sink in. it's #1 in my mind right now and i don't see it moving anytime soon. i'll throw some pics up when i finally get around to uploading them.
thank you carey for making this happen!!! it was a perfect event in every way.
edit: how lucky are we with the weather too? by the time wednesday came i was expecting rain and had accepted that it was going to happen. zero rain and barely any clouds. just perfect weather.

AMAZINGAMAZINGAMAZING CRUISE!!! After going on my first boat cruise for Audiofly a few weeks ago, I was overall not too impressed with boat cruises for the price they cost. But this one was definitely worth every last cent I spent. My first time seeing C&C (I've been holding out until I could see them together and when they will play tribal goodness) and I don't regret waiting. They rocked it and were having a fun-tastic time while up there!! The vibe was wicked, the weather held out beautifully (even though it was originally supposed to rain!) and there was an amazing crew out for this. Although I was a bit shambles :clown: especially after partying at guv the night before, it was an incredibly enjoyable experience, and I'm so glad I finally got to experience a proper party on a boat. :)
VIVA TRIBAL!! Until the tribal party in 2 weeks ;):disbelief

sitting around at the dock was kinda bumming me out... but having the music playing while we waiting kept me motivated. Once we left.... amazing times. I couldn't spend a lot of time on the top deck... the heat was getting to me, but the tunes carried right through to the second floor and kept me moving the whole time.
The drums.... the classics.... the vibe... and even more drums... driving relentless beats... and to top it off with a great group of friends... I can say this is probably my best boat party I've been on. Thanks Carey for pulling this one off and to lead it back into the Docks was icing on the cake.
Going down as one of the best Canada Days in the history books for me....

I think it would have been the best cruise for me if I had slept and gone fresh.. that way I would have been able to deal staying on the top deck... but that's my fault. Can we do this again.. like.. this weekend? next weekend? lol
Also... it should be mentioned that there was lots of FUMASA!

this was a weird boat cruise for us. Only because on the tail end of what had been an exhausting pride weekend and with canada day at guv the night before, it was hard to even stand.
Therefore we found ourselves sitting for the first couple of hours on the lowest deck enjoying some sun and tunes. The music really was phenomenal and after a bit we headed upstairs to get some dancing in. Had already decided that there was no way we could make the docks despite hundreds of text messages trying to convince us otherwise so figured we might as well go out strong.
truly was a fantastic experience. That is totally my most perfect type of house music. Was just in heaven. we found a nice lil spot in amongst familiar faces and just rode the wave so as to speak till the end.
I'm totally forgetting what track they mashed that billie jean beat with but it was sick!!! Total entertainers those two. Really the perfect DJ package.
To all the friendly faces, some of which we hadn't seen in a long time, you guys kept us going as much as the music. Hope everyone had fun at the docks and i'm sure we'll meet sometime soon this summer.
