They're getting faster and soon this will be an extreme nuisance. Moderators and administrators will not be able to handle the deluge of spam as they make more threads and invest time in registering names or whatever method they will devise to get around registering and being banned.
I'd do it by preventing long-time members from being spamhaused first of all (a whitelist) and any new or brand new member who makes a nonsense post such as zjzifpioje will immediately be banned (or blacklisted) and have their thread deleted within milliseconds.
At the moment it is not such a nuisance, but as spammers increase their speed and improve their methods, it will be a huge nuisance. Just suggesting prevention as opposed to having to clean up spam + excessive whining and bitching and angry internet people. |
