Friday night was a lot of fun! As always Zack played a great opening set, the highlight for me being the Ad Brown remix of Nothing. The James Holden 93 Returning mix is one of my all time favorite tracks however Ad Brown's remix is really beautiful and perfect before a guy like Darey.
In retrospect I must say I feel a little silly telling everyone that Darey was going to come on with some banging electro bombs because he didn't at all, in fact he stuck more to his typical progressive style for most of the night. Later on he dropped a lot of housey vocals that I didn't particularly love but I think actually worked at a place like Cielo. A lot of people were actually cheering when the vocal tracks were playing. I have a feeling that Darey played a lot of crazy electro last time because I think that's what he thought NYC wanted to hear, pretty sure this time around he thought NYC wanted to hear the vocals. Overall fun night, great seeing everyone out as always!

haha, its all good. The crowd was awesome all night. Thats really all the props I need on a given night. :)
Yet again, I was surprised at what Matt played (in a good way). I was expecting him to play a lot of the electro stuff that he played back in February, but his set was basically all progressive house. He played a decent amount of vocals throughout the night, and then dropped some bombs too towards the end of his set. The crowd was really into him. The guy is hysterical too. He had me cracking up all night.
All in all though, a fun ass night. I always have so much fun @ Cielo (DJing and hanging out). The vibe is always so energetic on these big headliner nights. I really hope everything works out with them next month, and they reopen soon.
oh, and I got a couple PMs about some of the tracks I played later in my set on Friday. I'll try and piece it together and post it up later today.

Had a great nite caught some of zacks set good toonage, matt was fun a lot of his tracks i liked the crowd was very into it. Matt was a bit of a nut giving out alcohol, sipping ppls drinks, letting someone listen to what he was going to spin nxt through his headfones, great interaction to say the least. gotta admit if this is how he plays normally id def see him nxt time hes in ny.
