i just finished reading this book that's been lying around the house for quite sometime. its called "go ask alice" (some young-adult novel), has anyone read it yet? i just finished it, but while i was reading it late last night, i started to get freaked out about the story and it felt so real. the whole book is about a 15 year old girl in the '70's who gets into drugs. its written in 1st person and in diary form so you get to read all her entries, she writes about her trips and her experiences, then the entries slowly show her addiction taking over her mind. i dont know why i got so freaked out, maybe cause it was late and so quiet around, i always freak myself out. anywho, read any books lately, any recommendations?

I'm a sappy kinda gal, But I love Nicholas Sparks. If you haven't read any of his short novels and you're feeling sappy, try one out. A walk to remember and The Notebook are incredibly uplifting and emotional. One of those things that makes you realize you're not a brick wall at times. :tongue2

I read a lot, so I have a small collection of Stephen King who I adore immensely. I have also wandered into "Buddhism" and a small book that is called "Watiki"=an Indian term. You'll have to look it up if you'd like to know what its about. Very good reading in philosophical thoughts/beliefs.

Yes, I'm part Indian...thats why I chose that last one.

---But what do I know, I'm only old enough to be a mother to some of you...
