Haven't seen Button play in a long while, so I can not comment on what his set was like on Friday night.... but from anything I've heard him play in the past... CLEARLY he's not the type of DJ to go out and bang out the tunes as hard as he can... (unless of course Jeff... your style has changed up a bit).

If you wanted a hard beats party.... you probably picked the wrong one to go to.

Fun times! Glad I made it out. Happy bday Jeff!

lol I died when this track came on

I've never heard it in a club and it's always been a favourite of mine... actually an obession of mine at one point.

:) yay thanks Jeff.

It doesn't need to be hard to be good. Not enough Toronto DJs and partiers realize this.

I enjoyed your set Jeff.

I've been saying this for years now. The DJ's who inspired me to start playing (Luke Fair, Sean Miller, Danny Howells) also would get the same kind of critisism of not playing hard enough. As a club goer, I always enjoyed the sets that told a story, or took you on a journey..... and I've always tried to keep that element in my sets as well.

My bad for coming in here and getting defensive towards Shaya's comments.... he has the right to voice them, however he feels - and I as a DJ need to respect that, and realize I am playing in a city that is saturated with 'hard beats'. Sorry for that.

So, getting back to the topic at hand. I have uploaded my set, and will be releasing it into 3 parts. Below is part one.

Enjoy.

Well, now I'm really sorry I missed it. I'm looking forward to the next two parts.

Anyone saying that this music that I am listening to right now was not hard enough deserves a bitch slap. There are 90 different clubs you can go to in Toronto to hear minimal tech house. Believe it or not, there are those of us who occasionally like to hear tunes that aren't targeted toward sketchpads on their 8th pill.

Happy birthday Jeff!
