Established in 2000 by Desyn Masiello, Alternative Route has developed into an enduring and much loved label. Synonymous with cutting edge dance music from all corners of the globe and defined by a style that is constantly evolving the label has been home to hits including Chris Lake ‘Changes’, Chable & Bonnici ‘Ride and N-Joi ‘Anthem’.
Brighton based trio, My Digital Enemy (collectively Harry Diamond, Sergai Hall and Keiron McTernan) have established their popular signature sound of progressive tech house with an uplifting, almost trancey twist via a string of high-impact releases on headline labels such as Cr2, Global Underground, Renaissance and Mondo Records.
Opus Dei is yet more evidence that My Digital Enemy have the measure of what makes a big club tune. Combining the super-sized production of their recent “Wasted” release (soon to be re-issued on Data) with edgy underground vibes the result is a record that effortlessly blurs genre boundaries while possessing the standout qualities of a “big tune”
Stef Vrolijk (GU, Little Mountain) is a legend within progressive circles. Deepening the mood and jacking out a tough groove his mix keeps the main piano hook at the centre.
J-Me (of Hybrid fame) steps up with the alternative remix and delivers a trademark epic breaks infused rollercoaster ride full of soaring melodies complete with huge breakdown.
Never one to be left out, label boss Desyn Masiello weighs in with a rare studio outing to deliver an edit of J-Me’s mix focusing the action and shortening the breakdown.
