I'll bet my life on the fact that there are at least 1 billion other humans on this planet with worse problems than Martin Streek...

I too enjoyed his broadcasts and therefore he's stolen a small something away from me as well...

I hope your happy now bud... Cause you've left A LOT of ppl very upset....

Easy there Jesus, judgment day hasn't arrived yet.

+1 that was a hasty piece of judgement right there. There are deeper things to suicide besides a selfish act.

My heart goes out to Martin and his family. It's tragic how much depression/stress can affect a person.

What???

Of course there are deep issues...

I never said that there weren't...

All I'm saying is that its a selfish end to your problems...

my family...my friends...or anyone who may care about me...

I I I dont want to deal with my problems...

Who cares how it effects anyone else...

THAT is selfish!!!

And yes...My heart goes out to his family as well...

But screw him...he doesn't have any problems anymore...

You know...I knew this guy who jumped off of the 18th balcony at his nephews 2nd birthday party...

Have any of you any idea how that will effect all of the family there??? For the rest of their lives???

But I'm the stupid one...

I definetely hear that side of things...

But I clearly also understand the need to want to just walk away from life's issues.

I DO however feel a sense of responsibility towards my family, friends and loved ones - the burden of leaving that way would be too much for THEM to handle - that feeling is I'm sure what holds a lot of people back.

It's something I would never seriously consider... but the thought sometimes crosses my mind when life gets crazy. I'm sure for a lot of you it has yet to get to that point (I'm a tad older than most at 35). And believe it or not - it is something that has come along with age...

I think it's naive to think he too (and the majority of those who choose to take their own life) - at his age, didn't consider all of those close to him when making his decision - and yes, it's a selfish decision - but that doesn't mean it's the wrong one.

I understand how people can see suicide as a selfish act but how do you know he wasn't in a deep state of psychosis from the depression and didn't even realize what he was doing?

I grew up with a bipolar mother and there were many days she did some crazy things and did not remember a thing about it. Having bipolar myself when I used to fall into a manic or depressive state sometimes it can be so deep I had no idea what I was doing.

Just try to be a bit more sensitive to mental illnesses the next time you want to pass judgement on someone.

So...I guess that's it...thanks everyone...I'm sorry to those I should be sorry to, I love you to those that I love, and I will see you all again soon (not too soon though)... Let the stories begin.

ppl in a state of deep psychosis don't leave suicide notes like this...

This note was clearly in his character and I'm pretty sure it says that he knew what he was doing...

from the facebook status, you can tell that he was not in a psychosis..he was obviously extremely depressed..whether is was situational or clinical..i don't know...

i do have to agree that suicide is one of the more selfish things a human being can do...that is just a fact...

ok, would i be totally crass if i asked how he offed himself? i'm thinking pills...
