PVD at mayday 2002 effect technique?

| How dose Paul van Dyk change the pitch in Rytham Gangstar - The Crowd Song in the mayday 2002 video? It lookls like he has some effect machiene but i don't know what it is. Anyone have an idea how he dose this? I would love to know. |

the effects are througout the song but i mainy noticed it at 26-31 seconds in the beging of the video, 1st song. If you hear the original song, then listen to the way it sounds when he playes it there is a huge diffrence. |

f00kin hell. Just checked out the 26-31 second section and that crash and the intro to it sound immense. Im not sure what he does there but i like what i hear :D |

Yup Yup!!
He's the only artist/producer/composer/dj/mastermind that I really really respect out of the "trance" scene...although calling PvD "trance" is wrong, in a way, cause he spins more than that. But damn, the man is amazing...and is the only one that really puts a load of effort into his DJ'ing and tries to be unique compared to Tiesto, Ferry, AvB, Gielen (LOL, which set of anthems shall we spin today?). |

Oh, no, I was referring to Gielen when I made the Anthem comment. Armin is great...he spins very nice trance...both the anthem style (Uplifting, as some call it) and progressive. He's a very talented guy...needs to work a bit on beatmatching, but he's the best out of the Dutch DJ's...he's got the best selection of tracks. Out of the trance DJ's that share a similar style, he's my favourite. His sets as a whole have an "atmosphere"...and yeah, unlike Tiesto, he can spin progressive, and very very nice upliftin (Second Wave, Seven Cities, Tranzy State, Glad I Ate Her, Xpander, etc etc etc etc etc)
