Im not file sharing though. Thats my point, ill be the judge of what risks i take to get music. Its none of any TA's business or concern. Im a pirate, its my choice, get over it. Ill buy something if i deem it good enough. I aint buying an album for a single good tune. I aint a mug.
Anyways back to the pleasentries.
Thanks for your suggestion, however, im hoping to get away from last decade... like, for 5 years, i have about 200 classics that have now been murdered. Much of the list in my first post on this topic... im bored off now and cant really handle another remix of the same stuff.
I was hoping for some 2003+ stuff, different but good. Thats why i was after some VA so i could just put them on and find some goodness again. |

Well, aren't you little Miss Elitist. |

Sorry im not sure how im being an elitist?
I am here to find some suggestions, although i appreciate i did not make it clear.
I enjoy old trance music but there is only so many times you can listen to the same tunes. I fail to see how this makes me elitist.
Do you even know what that means? |

| Hey, you're the one who called Tiesto "garbage" - obviously you're just jealous of all his mainstream success. While you can ask for recommendations from artists nobody has ever heard of, he'll be counting his cheese. |

Im not in that catagory though. I really do not care how popular or not a DJ is. It means nothing when it comes down to me sitting listening to music and enjoying it.
Tiesto has had some good tunes in his time, and i dont deny that, or have any reason otherwise to do so. However, having just spent the best part of a week listening to all of his tunes, most of them are garbage and they would be garbage if he was retired/bedroomdj/novice. When the music comes out of your speakers, it is not accompanied by a breakdown of the artists success or career milestones and hence its irrelevant.
I dont even know who does the La Noche tune, all i know is i enjoyed it, who the DJ is or was or where he is or if he is dead is again not something which enters the enjoyment process for me |

See, that's a totally elitist attitude though. Somebody JUST made a thread this morning about this. That's the problem with TA - people don't give respect to the DJ's and producers that have earned it by making a ton of money and having their own radio show and publicity staff. |

How can you say that?
I dont care about the scene that much to dedicate my life to the brown nosing of artists. I see no reason to support tiesto for example. He has plent money, he enjoys his life and is more successful than anyone here will ever be in a trance-type arena.
I do not understand why you seem to feel that you studying the producers/artists life is in some way bettering your/his life.
As i have said, it can take me a week and 1000 songs to play through them all and possibly only really enjoy 2-3 songs. In this case, i will head over to itunes to see if i can purchase those individual songs. BUT ONLY ONCE. Ill pritate the latest Blue-ray Terminator 2 because i purchased it when i was 12 on VHS.
Unfortunetly, i dont have the time to study artists and have opinions on them and in either case, my opinion is irrelevant. Credit is where Credit is due and i aint calling Tiesto the king of DJs just because in 10 years he has a handful of banging tunes. |

I'll quote you something that was said in the other thread this morning:

What i find particularly pathetic is the people who only like music that is "in" at the moment. "id like this tune if it wasnt done by tiesto".
****s. |
See? This is what I'm talking about! You are one of those elitists that is going to slam Tiesto because he's more famous than you are, and then go on about how you pirate underground like BaDuk and HighIllusion. You're soooooooo cool. You're ruining these forums! |

Look man, i dont know if you have a crush on tiesto or not but i aint seeing what your talking about.
I dont like people who say that they dont like a song coz tiesto done it. That is my point. If you have a good tiesto track thats new and good then ill be the first person to buy it.
Like i said, who a DJ is has nothing to do with the sounds i enjoy in same vein that my mum might like.... Lilly Allen... but my mum does not have a ing clue about Lilly Allen... to her its not an issue as she enjoys the song.
Im just the same as that. It has nothing to do with Tiesto/Baduk or whatever, the DJ could be a pedo who is in and out of jail for rape as well... who gives a ?
So the next time your in a club and hear a tune, the first thing you do is research the artist/his life/the label/past work?
Bull and if you do then there is something mentally wrong with you. Maybe you just cant get a job in the real world? If you did, you wouldnt have time for such bull.
And just to add, the last thing i care about is spoiling TA as its already full of wits so get over it eh. |
