Where are the non NYC residents staying during this weekend? Are you doing Hotels, Hostels whatever.
And whats still available?

ok, ive never been to NY oustide of manhattan, is queens safe? |

| check out westchester. I know there are a couple of motels and hotels that are near a metro north train station. All you would have to do is take the metro north down to 125th for the festival :D |

| There is an international student hostel in the west high 90's/low 100's.....cant remember the name, but Ive seen it and it looks clean, cheap, and full of young people :) Perhaps you ought to google it and see if anything turns up? |

Metro North cost more than the MTA.. and I beleive he was looking for cheap :p

Yea, Queens is safe imo. I probably wouldn't raise a family there if it wasn't by my standards. But like any other borough its bound to have it's bad parts. |
