The site worked great for me. I was just about to book some flights. And then I thought to myself... am I gonna be really pissed later if I spend $200 now and can't do something fun like go to Ibiza? And the answer was YES.
But this definitely looks legit and wonderful. I would definitely have booked some flights if I weren't on a budget. |

Sam, if it comes out to some crazy price it means they're sold out for that day. Look towards the lower right portion of the screen and there's a box about "southwest Shortcut" Click on that and it will show you the prices for all the other days in the month. If you pick a day a few days before or after it will probably be the sale price. |

i finally got in!!
I was able to finagle it- 90 each one way ticket to and from vegas- but if i did it as round trip it was 90 one way and 185 home.
BUT on travelocity I can do this ANY DAY for 202 (including taxes) so im going to be a responsible girl and book my vegas trip next month. hahaha |

I was looking at that too, and comparing the prices with Expedia. Can't say for sure, but I think Expedia is picking up on the sale price. I have a feeling the prices on there or Travelocity will change tomorrow. Cause I tried checking prices that were outside the date range of this sale on Expedia and they were 2x as much.
I decided not to buy tix now and I hope they'll be cheap again when I come home :) |

Great :) This thread had inspired me to make a spur of the moment trip to visit my Texans. So hopefully the prices are still decent when I'm in a better position to make a purchase. I know when I booked my flights for Europe, the prices were fluctuating all over the place, to the tune of $600 differences! Eek.
Are you going to Vegas for vaca? I've never been. |

Elyse is moving out there :( im so sad!! So i want to plan a couple days to go visit her- she moves Aug 1st so i was thinking sept or nov....or oct i guess although i want to go to chicago for the halloween weekend so its not a great idea to do both trips then.
I never had any desire to go to vegas my entire life. people say lets go! im like- nope thanks though. but mikey- a friend of mine who is also Elyse's BF moved there and she went to visit him back in jan and then there was a markus schulz show in cali within driving distance...soooo ya know. I had to hop a plane and go to the show with them hahahah it was nice- but i was only there for 30 hours so i didnt get to see too much. its definitely NOTHING like where we live!!! i recommend it! its not only beautiful but there are some really cool and odd things there!! its small though so like 3-4 days is more than enough time there, imo. |

| i've been to vegas a ton of times, it's ok. my main issue with that place is snootiness at many of the clubs (pay to play to get inside timely, you need dress shoes and a collared shirt to get into the decent clubs and you can't even pay your way around that), the summer heat, and everyone there is just after your money. it's also easy to lose track of time, days and time of day since there are no clocks anywhere. it's fun if you have thousands of dollars you intend to spend there. but if you've never been to the san francsico love parade/lovefest/lovevolution, that's truly a party you're missing out on. ask anyone that's been to both. that was kind of the purpose of this thread. the sale dates fall within range of lovevolution week (sep 30 - oct 5) and you'll be saving close to 50% off a regular fare. can't really beat a free parade and music festival that runs right through downtown with 30 music floats of all genres, touring djs from around the world, +100,000 party people of all ages, and sf weather in early october :) |

+1 you totally lose track of time ect....i found myself back on a plane at 630 in the morning wasted ....not something i intended! and money- yeah definitely need to be frugal if you dont have a lot....though im pretty blessed all my friends out there are in the industry so i get treated like a queen (rightly so!! hahaha jk jk) and I dont like to gamble so theres that and I adore finding local interesting/weird places to eat as opposed to a fancy expensive sit down and cross your legs kinda place. i went out there- granted only for a little over a day- and spent i think....25 bucks??
elyse bought us our pizza so it should have been 35 ;)
Ive always wanted to go to the lovefest...but it falls in a time slot that i can not go due to work, ect :( but i recommend it as well!!!! |
