Come to think of it, Lira Yin is a nice stage name :)
Out of curiosity, why Lira? Because of the word lyric(s)?... I reckon you couldn't predict the fact that it also happened to be the (family) name of a nutty trancehead from abroad, so I guess it must've been something else :D And the Yin bit is really from the Yin-Yang, right?
By the way, you really read the whole thread? Heh, maybe I should've done that after writing it all in just one go... I hope it doesn't make any sense :p |

Etymology time. Lira was a nickname given to me by friends who shortened a screenname I used to use. I liked the sound and look of it. It also means "lyre" in Italian; the lyre describes a group of classical string instruments, so I like the musical connection as well.
yes, Yin refers to the feminine half of the yin-yang. In Chinese, it's also a homonym for the word part that means "song" or "sound" which is also apt. :) |

It's funny because people often think my name comes from the musical instrument as well, because it's the same word in Portuguese (and, though rarely, some very inventive minds think it comes from the currency, for whatever reason). And I had no idea 音 was pronounced "yin" in Chinese too...
