creating my first website - any suggestions?

looking to create a simple page, with the layout of a web comic (no, i am not making a web comic about video games, or a web comic at all) where i could make daily/weekly updates & have some light ads on the side via google adsense.
so at the moment i'm learning adobe dreamweaver & searching for articles+tutorials on google.
as of writing this, i know jack- about coding (although dreamweaver will allow me to surpass that, right?) & website creation in general. looking forward to figuring out how this stuff works.
anyone got a website link or anything to say to help me out?

Design the site in Photoshop, then slice it, then use Dreamweaver.
or just go steal a design template. |
