It is important how it sounds in the club.
And the disco smile mix you will get referencing on computer speakers with no low and high end will sound like in the club. |
yeah right; all songs sound the same in the club; over-exaggerated low end; nonexistant highs; SPF levels to rape your ear drums. why do you think live sound engineers have those PA EQs and Compressors stacked in a rack? :o
If its so important how it sounds in the club then how come producers and studios spend hundreds of dollars on diffusers, frequency-attenuators, acoustic foam, and other related accessories? Apparently it must be something about achieving a frequency balance and stereo image (its about how it sounds in the STUDIO much than how it sounds in the club).
it seems to me that this "club music" may be a misnomer for you. |

Nonexistent highs? In many of the clubs I've been to, the hi hats sound almost like a wall of white noise.

+1
World class club systems are few and far between, and even then they are usually run wrong and played on by DJs who are red colorblind. |

To zero out the room and get rid of nasty echos. Many clubs don't bother hiring professionals like Soundman Shorty (that did Twilo and many other great clubs around the world) and have the owners brother in law doing the sound which results in club sound we came to know!

These are there to protect the sound system from overloading.

You tell me! Why not just use macbook speakers? LOL. |

No it is not. It is an awesome progressive trance track with a great groove.
It doesn't need a additional anything. It is pretty good as it is.
Because it is really good. Thats why.
On macbook speakers everything will sound kind of muddy.
It is awesome dude. Awesome.
From a guy called supersaw abuse.... this wasn't made to cater to your taste...
Track is banging. And yes the sound of those macbook speakers dont do any music justice.

Please note if you are a producer wannabe and your tracks don't get any attention here because they suck please don't come here and post like you are some expert or something or I will post your turds here for the world to see ;) |

um, i have KRK RP8s laying in my other house on the east coast. and if i really cared about how clear the sound is i would rent some genelecs or dynaudios.
...but no; im more than happy with crappy macbook speakers; or even better my shure e2c headphones. or streamed through this piece of mbox mini phone output. |

You convinced no-one except yourself that it's awesome.
And if you cut it to 3 minutes and hit the repeat button no-one will notice the difference.
Taste is personal, but if most people think it's not finished yet over here then I would seriously think about that.
I bet it won't be played at Dance Valley today either.... |

| No disrespect to anybody but I think it is a nice offering. |

Unfortunately this doesn't really cut the mustard and falls short of being release-worthy on a few levels.. Most of all the track itself suffers from any coherent flow and falls victim to heavy repetition.
It sounds to be one of many similar tunes that a great in theory, flawed in execution.
JM.
PS. Pretty poor taste for the OP to be so critical of other's critique, especially the bit about "wannabe producers". NB A fair few of us know what we're talking about. Don't be so quick to ignore, think of it as a cost-free consult. |

You know, your head is so far up your tight ing ass it's not even funny. Don't be a hypocrite. People were going on and on in this thread about how much they don't like the track and your response is, "Well, it just has everything that I like and my taste in music is a little different from yours." Then, you turn around and say that Clovis is wrong for having his own taste in music?
off. :stongue:
Also, the track is terrible. I'm listening to it right now and am struggling to find any sort of innovation or an attempt at coming up with something new. It has everything that I've heard from countless modern Trance producers, the rhythm of the melody is terribly unoriginal and all of the builds, "swooshes", effects and crashes have been tried and tested in Trance for the last five years. When it drops into the repetitive techy part, it's supposed to have a lot of energy that makes you want to throw your hands in the air; this track doesn't. Whatever energy it had built up is completely lost.
Everything about this is completely standard and unoriginal. Please start respecting other peoples opinions if you want us to respect yours. |
