hey guys I just got the jp8000, supernova 2, virus C , waldorf blofeld, yamaha cs6x and I need a mixer to plug all the synths into, then direct it into my soundcard for recording?
Call me a newb for hardware..but i am admitting it. If someone can fully explain how to do this ill give u $1 :D hehehe
I originally have the delta1010LT but i dont like it (the converters it has on the card) was thinking of getting an RME but thats a different topic...for now i need help setting up all the synths so they can play at the same time.
I rather get analogue mixer if it sounds better' but since its digital synths and not true analgoue i think i should stick to a digital mixer.
any thoughts please feel free message me

You don't need a mixer, just plug them straight into your soundcard. Adding a mixer will just put more noise in the signal chain, for little benefit.

I use an audio interface with 8 inputs, bring the synths into separate channels in Cubase. Easier than having an analog mixer in between. Depends if you want the character of the mixer, or run the synths through some hardware insert/send effects using the mixer. (Though Cubase lets you use hardware effects processers in your mixes as easily as VST effects).

I recommend a Midas Venice 16 Channel. Or a Soundcraft Delta which you can find between $800-$1200. The rest spend on preamps in the $250-$400 range. And yeh, go for the RME over your Delta1010

Make sure you use digital connections if using a digital mixer with digital synths. Plugging straight into the RME would be preferable though. Less to go wrong.
I don't know why you went and bought all of those at once either... Stupid IMO. |

By the way for Digital Mixer, I would recommend the Soundcraft 328, which you can easily find under $1,000, and use the rest of your funds on hardware PreAmps. Or there is also the Mackie D8B which Santos uses, the producer on Timo Maas - 'Subtellite.' Get them used of course.
