So I just ripped this from the RA news feed.
http://www.factmagazine.co.uk/index...2966&Itemid=105
I remember I used to check out Philip Sherburne's "This Month in Techno" articles until they stopped and I always had a love/hate (mostly hate) relationship with them. Now someone new is trying to start it back up and it reads surprisingly similarly to how I remember them: always name-dropping artists I've never heard of, always championing a sub-genre I'm pretty sure doesn't exist (I guess it's 'funky' this month), and then just when I think I can't read anymore, it ends up recommending a bunch of legitimately good tracks that don't seem to have anything to do with all the preceding text.
Anyone else ever check these out? |

| Yeah, I live in the UK and I always try to keep up with the most obnoxious trend-hyping media sources and I've never heard of "funky". It's pretty clear we're not talking about funky house in the sense I know it. |
